Every date worth sending something in 2027

12 occasions confirmed for 2027 so far, when each one falls, and what actually suits it. Still looking for this year? The 2026 calendar is still here.

12 confirmed

In order. The ones with a link are occasions we can already make something for.

Not on the list yet

Eight festivals are missing from 2027 on purpose. Here is exactly why.

Still to confirm: Holi, Eid-ul-Fitr, Eid-ul-Adha, Raksha Bandhan, Navratri, Dussehra, Karva Chauth, Diwali.

All eight move with the lunar calendar, so none of them can be worked out from a rule the way Easter or Mother's Day can — they have to be read off a panchang. Every lunar date on this site is checked against two independent sources before it goes up, and that has not happened for 2027 yet.

We would rather leave a gap than print a guess. Another gift calendar currently lists Karva Chauth 2026 as 1 November when it is 29 October, and someone planning a call around that date is the person who pays for it. They go up here as each one is confirmed.

Which of these move, and why

Half a normal year's list is on a different calendar from the one on your wall, which is why the dates are worth checking rather than remembering.

Same date every year. Christmas, Independence Day, Teachers' Day, Children's Day, Valentine's Day. Diary them once. 2027 puts an unusual number of them on a Sunday — Independence Day, Teachers' Day, Children's Day and Valentine's Day all fall on one.

Moves, but to a fixed rule. Mother's Day is the second Sunday of May, Father's Day the third Sunday of June, Friendship Day in India the first Sunday of August. Easter is the first Sunday after the first full moon following the March equinox — in 2027 that lands on 28 March, which is early.

Moves with the lunar calendar. Raksha Bandhan, Navratri, Dussehra, Karva Chauth, Diwali, Holi and both Eids fall on a tithi — a lunar day — rather than a fixed date, and the lunar and Gregorian calendars drift against each other. That is why Diwali can be October one year and November the next, and why these can shift by a day between regions. It is also why none of them are on this page yet.

Questions

When is Valentine's Day 2027?
Sunday, 14 February 2027 — a free day rather than a weeknight, which is rarer than you would think. Valentine's Week opens with Rose Day on Sunday the 7th; the full week list has all eight days with their dates.
When is Easter 2027?
Sunday, 28 March 2027 — early, because Easter is the first Sunday after the first full moon following the March equinox, so it wanders by more than a month between years.
Why isn't Diwali 2027 on this page?
Because we don't know it well enough to print it yet. Diwali follows the lunar calendar, and every lunar date on this site is checked against two independent panchangs before it goes up. It will appear here once that's done — along with Holi, both Eids, Raksha Bandhan, Navratri, Dussehra and Karva Chauth.
Where did the fixed and computed dates come from?
The fixed ones are the same Gregorian date every year, so there's nothing to source. The computed ones follow a rule — an nth Sunday, or the Computus for Easter — and were worked out in code, then checked by recomputing 2026's dates and confirming they matched what's already published.
Can I schedule a gift to send on a particular date?
Not automatically — there's no scheduler. What you can do is make the gift early and hold the link until the morning, which is what most people do anyway. The link works the moment it exists.
