A haunted house they explore by torchlight
Three ghosts to catch, one right behind them — and their name written in the air.

A haunted house in the dark: their phone becomes a torch to catch the ghosts — and the sneaky one behind them — before the ghosts write their name in the air.
A haunted hall at midnight: plum wallpaper stained with damp, cobwebs in every corner, candles guttering on the mantel, a fire burning low and green, and a lady in an oval portrait whose eyes follow the light. Thunder outside; a clock ticking; the wind at the windows.
They step in and the door slams behind them. Their phone becomes a torch: wherever they point it, the beam goes, and that's how they look round the house.
What happens when they open it
- 1
Three ghosts to catch
Three little ghosts are hiding — behind the armchair, behind the curtains, in the wardrobe — and every few seconds one pokes its head out and giggles, from its own side of the room. Hold the torch on one and it squeaks, spins, and turns friendly.

Something behind them
At midnight the clock strikes, the torch flickers and a heartbeat starts. Something is right behind them. However fast they turn, it zips away again — until, the third time, it trips over its own sheet. It's a teddy. "BOO!"

Their name in the air, your message on the mirror
Every candle in the house flares, the fire turns warm, and the ghosts write "Happy Halloween" and their name in the air. Your photographs warm up on the portrait wall — and your message writes itself in the fog on the mirror.
Who it suits
- A friend you'd normally be trick-or-treating with, in another city this year
- A partner who loves a scary film and pretends not to
- Anyone who'll laugh at a teddy hiding under a bedsheet
Worth knowing
- This is a premium design. Making it needs a Google sign-in and one premium credit, and it stays online for 90 days. The person you send it to just opens the link — no account on their side.
- Photos are optional. Up to five hang in gilt frames on the portrait wall; send none and the wall gets spooky prints instead.
- Turn the sound on: the ghosts' giggles say which way to turn, and the wind, the thunder and the clock are half the fun.
- On an iPhone they tap Allow once so the phone's motion can point the torch. If they'd rather not, dragging does the same thing.
- Your photos stay private. The house is only reachable by someone holding the link.
Occasions it's offered for
