Valentine's Week 2027 runs from Sunday 7 February to Sunday 14 February. Eight days, each with its own name, and the reason anybody looks the list up is that nobody can ever remember whether Teddy Day comes before or after Promise Day.

Which day is it today?

The fastest way to work it out is the date, not the name. Valentine's Week always ends on 14 February and always starts seven days before it, so subtract: 7 February is day one, 14 February is day eight, and every day in between falls in the order above.

And Valentine's Day itself is a Sunday — a whole free day rather than a weeknight dinner booked for eight o'clock because it was the only slot left.

Chocolate Day, Hug Day and Kiss Day are not days this site can help with, and pretending otherwise would be silly. Chocolate is chocolate. A hug is a hug.

There is a second week that circulates online, running 15 to 21 February, usually described as an anti-Valentine's week. It exists, people search for it, and its day names vary noticeably between the sites that publish it.

Start with the day, not the gift

The mistake almost everybody makes with this week is treating it as eight chances to send something, then running out of ideas by Wednesday and going quiet for the rest of it.

Pick two. Rose Day to open and the 14th to close is plenty, with Teddy Day or Propose Day in the middle if one of them actually means something to the two of you. Four thin gestures are worse than two you thought about.
