New Year gifts you send as a link
Ring it in with someone. Pick a design, add your own words, and send a small animated gift — no app for them to open, just a link.
Create a New Year giftNew Year is the one night everybody is on their phone at the same time, which makes it the worst night to send a message and the best night to send something else. "Happy New Year 🎉" arrives in a wall of forty identical ones and is gone by 12:04.
A year is the natural size of this gift. Ten photographs in order, a line under each, and the whole thing turns into the year you just had — which is exactly what everyone is trying to talk about at midnight anyway.

How sending a New Year gift works
- 1Pick a design — each one is a small scene they open and play with.
- 2Add your own words, names and photos. Nothing is required except the bits that make it theirs.
- 3Get a private link and send it. It opens in any browser, on any phone.
Making a New Year gift land
- One photo a month, roughly — ten frames across a year tells the story better than ten from the same good week
- Include the bad months — a year with only the highlights in it doesn't read as true, and the honest one is the one they keep
- Send it before midnight, not after — after midnight you're queueing behind everyone else's group message
- End on the last caption — the final page is where you say what you actually think about the year ahead
- Or send the boxes — five to unwrap is a better countdown than a chat message, and your letter is at the bottom
