A birthday room they step into

Their name in neon, their age in gold, your photos on the wall.

Step into a room decorated for them — their name in neon, their age in gold, your photos on the wall — and look around by moving the phone.

Instead of a card, a whole room decorated for them. A balloon arch in pinks, white and gold with "Happy Birthday" and their name glowing in pink neon inside it, a three-tier cake on a lace-covered table with its candles lit, their age standing beside it in giant gold foil balloons, candles in glass on the floor and fairy lights strung across the ceiling.

They stand in the middle of it and look around by moving their phone — up to the lights, down to the balloons rolling across the floor, and behind them, where your photographs hang in gold frames on the wall.

What happens when they open it

  1. 1

    They step inside

The room waits in the dark. One tap and the fairy lights come up, the candles catch and the neon flickers on with their name in it.

  2. 2

    They look around

Moving the phone turns the view, the way looking round a real room does. Dragging with a finger works too, and so does a laptop.

  3. 3

    They make a wish

The view turns back to the cake, the candles go out, and your message writes itself out in handwriting, signed with your name.
